The train that didn’t wait

The train that didn’t wait

Fine, I was a bit late

Neither will it come back

And nor am I going to be perfect

I gaze at the empty tracks

Waiting for it to come back

Advertently that it is on a fast track

And will never come back

I can’t stop waiting for it

For one, I was a bit late

And my love sits in it

Leaving the rest to fate

All I do now is wait

For the train has left

Cos I was lateΒ

  1. Umm.. At the first thought, I was going to tell you to catch the next fast-one to the same destination. But then, another thought came. That there is no other train! Am I right? Or am I over-thinking and should mind my own business? πŸ˜›

Nice one, by the way! Very intriguing, to say the least!! πŸ™‚

    1. There is no use going behind the train, cos someone’s lover is in it. If he/she gets kidnapped you are wasting your money running behind the train. Better to stay and save money πŸ˜› (I am stupid)

Glad you liked it, and I never thought of the possibility you said. You got me there πŸ˜€

Hows life? What about your trip to MP/orrisa?

      1. Haha!! MP in Christmas! πŸ™‚ And life’s good.. Happy turned big-ONE today (Hindu Calendar)!! But due to tax-filing pressures of November, post due in December! πŸ˜›

Whats up with you? How does mundane-ity suit you after such an amazing trip!? πŸ™‚

    2. Did you guys celebrate? I am sure you guys must have celebrated it.

Life is like before, monochrome. I am trying to square of the financial damages the trip caused πŸ˜›

      1. Nope 😦 No celebration yet! Me and Simba both have terrible work pressure in Nov. Its almost 10 PM when I reach home and midnight when he returns, by which time our little Happy has gone to sleep! 😦

        Celebration has been postponed.

      2. Happy will be more attached to his grand parents, since he doesn’t have much time with you guys. One thing about the place I work is I try and work only 11hrs mostly. Not more.

      3. He is definitely more attached to hiss grandma than us. Usually, I reach home at around 7, but we have tax filing deadline in Nov and hence the sad story 😦

11 hours is good. Reasonable, I should say. Looking at the way corporates run.

  2. HeyLo !

    An Intriguing One !

This somehow reminded me of a Kamal Hassan movie… You know the “missed train” and the “lover in it” parts ….
But seriously amazing poem, can be interpreted in many ways!
